New routes will be added to Frontier Airlines’ schedule from Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix and a new route from Trenton, New Jersey and Sarasota, Florida.

Book with Frontier Airlines and you get seats for $29 – $79 each way.

The airline announced Tuesday that they’re adding year-round, daily service from Phoenix to San Diego and Salt Lake City starting in November.

They also will be adding seasonal service from Phoenix to Detroit and Fargo, North Dakota.

According to USA Today, these additions (including flights to Las Vegas beginning in September), will mean Frontier will fly to 14 destinations from Sky Harbor International Airport.

Senior Vice President of Frontier, Daniel Shurz, tells USA Today it was a good time for the airline to bring affordable flights to travelers since airline prices for flights from Phoenix have risen.

Shurz says, “We think there’s clearly an opportunity for an airline like us that offers extremely low, every day low fares to come in as an alternative to the two or three airlines that operate in this market today.

Trenton, New Jersey will also be getting new routes with a seasonal route from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.

Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes says the New Jersey-Flordia route “will help satisfy the Mercer County’s growing desire for warmer seasonal climates” during a news release announcing the recent route addition.

Frontier discontinued the routes from Phoenix to Detroit and Salt Lake City in the past but now they will be relaunching these routes.

Frontier has announced all of their winter 2019/20 flights with talks of possibly expanding even more in Phoenix in the future.

“That combination of economic success (in Phoenix and population growth and an opportunity to profitably offer lower fares means Phoenix is definitely high on our radar for further growth,” says Shurz.

Flight fares may be as low as $29 for one-way but keep in mind that the airline will charge for both checked and carry-on luggage.
