Frontier Airlines is launching nonstop flights to Cancun, Mexico from both William P. Hobby and George Bush Intercontinental Airport this week. The airline has also announced that it is offering fares as low as $99 in order to celebrate these new routes to one of the most popular destinations in the world.

“We are excited to launch new international service to Cancun from both major Houston airports,” said Frontier Airlines Representative Stephen Shaw in a press release. “With this new service, we now fly to three destinations from HOU, including Orlando and Las Vegas, and six from IAH as we continue to grow our presence from the greater Houston area.”

Frontier revealed the new route from William P. Hobby International Airport to Cancun began on May 26. The flights to the Mexican hotspot run three times a week. The route from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to Cancun started May 27, and is operating four times a week.

Fares must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. EST on May 31, 2022. Fares are valid for nonstop travel on select days of the week, June 1-29. A three-day advance purchase is required, however, round trip travel is not required.

“We are certain Frontier Airlines will strengthen our pledge to deliver excellence to our guests at every step of the airport experience,” said Houston Airports Director of Air Service Development Zeljka Momirovic.

“Houston Airports’ growing partnership with Frontier will help us continue to deliver a world-class experience at HOU (William P. Hobby International Airport), the first and only 5-Star rated airport in North America, as they do at IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport) with their low fares and efficient, reliable service,” Momirovic added.
