The 1990s was an inimitable decade and no dissenting opinions will be accepted at this time.

It was the era of baggy pants, tie-dye revival, and witty retorts, some of which endure today. Hip Hop and R & B experienced a golden age, while the pop scene was on fire with boy and girl bands. Let’s not forget television programs like The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, All That and Living Single. Mortal Kombat amused and horrified with its cheesy but gory graphics. And Ring Pops, Warheads and Squeeze Pops kept us on a sugar high.

Being in the moment was much easier since social media and smartphones didn’t exist yet. But Tamagotchi and Game Boy had a whole lot of us in a chokehold for a minute.

Certain sayings ring a bell for most American millennials. “Once you pop, the fun don’t stop!” The answer to “who loves orange soda?” And finally, “did I do that?”

There’s no turning back the clock, sadly. But we can walk down memory lane with a smile and be grateful for the experience.

Here are six Amazon products from, or inspired by, the 1990s.

Cards Against Humanity- 90s Nostalgia Pack

Whatever version of this game you buy, there’s bound to be laughter and outrage. How much of each depends who you’re playing with.

Gather some friends and prepare for a night of absurdity and nostalgia.

Note that these cards are an expansion pack, so you can mix them with other sets.

One Amazon user wrote, “this is a good addition pack to the game! I’ve had mine for several years now, so I like to buy new cards when available!”

The 90s Flashpack

The 90s Flashpack is packed with 15 toys from the good ole’ days.

See if you can get somebody to sit on the whoopee cushion for old times’ sake. There’s also a Slinky, Poké Ball and a Rubik’s cube, among other goodies.

Amazon explains, “set the vibe as you take a trip down memory lane with the custom Spotify playlist included.”

Moreover, the items are “packed in a fun, retro box that is ready to be wrapped and given to friends, family, younger generations that missed out on the decade, or even yourself!”

Goosebumps Retro Fear Set

When it came to horror for adolescents, nobody touched R.L. Stine.

Some millennials recall buying the Goosebumps books from the Scholastic Book Fair at school. With a holographic bookmark, of course!

The Goosebumps Retro Fear set includes: Stay Out of the Basement, Werewolf of Fever Swamp, The Haunted School, Piano Lessons Can Be Murder, and Cuckoo Clock of Doom.

One Amazon user wrote, “I read these as a kid, and I was so excited when my daughter asked for some for Christmas. It was really close to Christmas at this point, yet Amazon did not let me down. I got this amazing set within 2 days of placing my order, and my daughter has been reading them since Christmas day! I might even borrow a few to read myself!”

Magic 8 Ball

The Magic 8 ball had all the answers to our most burning questions back in the day.

Amazon explains, “after asking the ball a yes or no question, turn the toy upside-down and wait for your answer to be revealed through the window. The answers range from positive (“It is certain”) to negative (“Don’t count on it”) to neutral (“Ask again later”).”

Users mentioned the text can be a little hard to read sometimes.

Game Boy Color

Remember the Game Boy “glow up?”

This was the best way to game on the go.

Amazon says, “this pre-owned product has been professionally inspected, tested and cleaned by Amazon qualified vendors. It is in excellent condition, and the screen and body show no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away.”

One user, not put off by the hefty price tag, gushed: “I felt like I was still in 1998 when it first arrived in my hand. It was truly amazing how great the condition was. Thank you to the seller!”

Nickelodeon Retro T-Shirt

Let’s face it, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network were at their zenith in the 90s. Today’s material simply doesn’t compare.

This lightweight, comfortable shirt comes in a variety of colors and is a licensed Nickelodeon product.

For those cooler days, it’s also available as a hoodie.

Amazon reviews are positive. One user wrote, “it’s comfortable and surprisingly fit as expected, which is rare for me when shopping on Amazon.”
