For some, travel is still necessary. For others, it’s a way to escape the chaos going on in their own city. Either way, TSA is helping to ease travelers’ fears when it comes to the spread of COVID-19.

On Friday, the agency announced that it would allow up to 12 ounces of hand sanitizer in passengers’ carry-on bags indefinitely. This is more than double the normal amount of 3.4 ounces previously in place.

If you do carry anything over the normal amount, your bag will need to be screened separately, which could tack on extra time going through a checkpoint.

However, you may not notice the extra time because airlines are reporting a decline in travel with more people opting to stay home instead.
