Ace’s Slushie World

As the name suggests, this spot offers several flavors of ice cream and slushies. In addition to the sweet treats, they have hot foods like burgers, hot links, and wings.
Barry’s Cheesesteaks

Owner Barry Washington is all about providing great food while also spreading the word. His cheesesteaks are said to be just as good as those in Philly.
Boujie Biscuit

This casual breakfast and brunch spots makes some of the city’s best biscuit creations. Did we mention the biscuits are made from scratch? Try special biscuits like the Jamaican curry biscuit or the maple bacon biscuit.

Looking to get your fix of wings and fries? This is the place to go. If you’re lucky you will catch the $.75 wing special, it mostly happens on Tuesdays with different flavors being featured.
Funmi’s Cafe

Owners Yomi & Funmi Aderinokun opened their restaurant in 2009. They specialize in authentic African food with a heavy West African influence. Their Chicken Suya, which is featured in Wednesday is said to be out of this world.

Kizito Cookies

Elizabeth Kizito came to the U.S. from Uganda in 1975. She started by selling artwork that her family would send to her at local markets. She eventually found her love for baking and the rest is history. In addition to her special made cookies, she also bakes up brownies, muffins, and biscotti.
Mack Bros BBQ

This family-owned and operated BBQ spot cooks up dishes like ribs, chicken, and more. Their fan-favorite is listed as their cornbread salad.
Seafood Lady
Address: 107 W. Oak St. and 3201 Fern Valley Road
Nichelle and Luke Thurston started this business from their home. Nichelle was recently featured on the Food Network for her amazing seafood creations. Get there early because there is always a line.
SuperChefs

With a superhero theme, chef Darnell Ferguson is said to make some of the best waffles around. Favorites include the Pancake Platter, the Super Chef’s Omelet, and the Bron Bron Burger topped with crab and pork.
