Getting tested before going home is about to get a bit easier.

As news broke that the U.S., UK, and Canadian governments will now require all incoming travelers to present a negative PCR test, St. Lucia is one destination addressing these new protocols and making the process smoother for travelers.

More than 20 hotels and villas are offering complimentary antigen (rapid) testing to qualified guests including: Anse Chastanet; all five Bay Gardens properties; Calabash Cove Resort & Spa; Caille Blanc Villa & Hotel; Cap Maison Resort & Spa; Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa; Jade Mountain; Ladera Resort; Marigot Bay Resort and Marina; Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat; Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia; Serenity at Coconut Bay; Sugar Beach – A Viceroy Resort; Stonefield Villa Resort; Tet Rouge and Ti Kaye Resort & Spa.

The Covid-19 test can be administered at these select hotels or multiple local testing facilities, with results returned within the required 72-hour time frame. More properties are expected to be added in the coming weeks.

The offer is being rolled out with some restrictions. Since early December, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa and sister resort Serenity at Coconut Bay has included a free Abbott Rapid Antigen COVID-19 “Return Home Test” prior to departure for guests staying 5-nights or longer at these properties. Shorter-stay guests can purchase the test for $75 per person.

Visitors can book appointments for tests upon arrival or through their Covid-certified hotel. The cost varies according to test type and location.  More detailed information about testing options will soon be available at the Saint Lucia Covid-19 Travel Advisory page: www.StLucia.org/covid-19
