There’s no better way to spend time with the person who makes you happy than enjoying them in the happiest place in the world.

Walt Disney World has much to offer for couples needing the perfect dates. The best dates allow couples to spend quality time together without distractions (sorry, kids) while having fun together.

Research from the National Marriage Project and the Wheatley Institute found that couples that planned weekly date nights are 3.5 times more likely to report being “very happy” in their relationship than those who don’t.

“Couples who devote time specifically to dating one another at least once or twice a month are markedly more likely to report better relationship quality compared to couples who do not go on dates as often,” said Jeffrey Dew, a fellow at the Wheatley Institute, and co-author of the report.

The best dates involve entertainment, fun, and the opportunity to promote closeness after the date ends. Here’s the perfect itinerary for a baecation at Disney World without children.

Where Adults Should Stay at Walt Disney World

Couples will find staying at one of the more than 25 Disney Resort hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection comes with perks. For starters, guests can enter theme parks earlier than everyone else, which helps to beat the crowds at popular attractions. Parkgoers staying at select Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts who don’t want to wake up early can also choose to participate in Disney After Hours. Theme parks remain open for three extra hours after the park closes, allowing guests to experience attractions without the crowds.

Some of the best resorts for adults are Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House.

Couples who want their magic served with top-of-the-line luxury will find it at Disney’s Riviera Resort—a one-bedroom villa with a preferred view averages nearly $1,000 per night. Europe inspires the resort and offers fine dining at Topolino’s Terrace – a restaurant at the top of the resort with a breathtaking view and stylish accommodations.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House is where couples should stay for an unforgettable experience. The resort is inspired by all the continent of Africa has to offer, including the food, adventures, and unique experiences.

The traditional South African Kraal inspires the resort’s horseshoe-curved design for a beautiful view of the four lush savannas on its property. You can learn more about your partner and their favorite animal. More than 200 hoofed animals and birds freely roam the property that you can see from your balcony.

For fine during at Jambo House, make a reservation to Jiko. Jiko offers a delicious blend of traditional African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine and an extensive wine list from these regions.

Adult Itinerary for EPCOT

Once you’re done riding the thrill that is the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, spend the rest of your time drinking and eating your way through EPCOT.

This theme park is known for its three annual festivals. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival allows guests to take a taste tour across six continents from the summer to fall. The International Flower & Garden Festival takes your walks in the garden or parks to a whole different level as you stroll in awe of the beautiful creations of your favorite Disney characters and landmarks out of flowers. Finally, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays allows you and your partner to experience how different cultures celebrate the holidays between November and January.

Before your journey, you will board a special space elevator ascending to the stars. When you’re done, stay for the EPCOT Forever fireworks celebration.

Adult Itinerary For Hollywood Studios

If there’s one park to enjoy Disney After Hours, it would be Hollywood Studios because the Star Wars and Toy Story attractions create long waits – even for people with lightning lane and Disney Genie passes, allowing them to go through a quicker queue line.

Hollywood Studios is a film and Hollywood-themed park. This is a great park to enjoy the Disney films you both love through attractions and dining. Roundup Rodeo BBQ is a western-themed restaurant where you’ll see the world through the eyes of Andy’s toys. The menu features Evil Dr. Smoked Ribs and Buttercup’s Beef Brisket. Oga’s Cantina is a fun experience, even if you’re not a Star Wars fan. Oga’s specializes in fantastical drinks sourced with ingredients from across the galaxy.

The top attractions at Hollywood Studios are Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Rock’ n’ Roller Coaster, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Slinky Dog Dash.

Adult Itinerary Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is good to pair with a hopper pass. Disney’s Hopper Pass allows you to visit more than one park in a day. While spending all day in EPCOT and Hollywood Studios is easier, Magic Kingdom is great to pair with Animal Kingdom.

Visiting Magic Kingdom at night is where couples can experience magic and romance. The best attractions to experience before Magic Kingdom’s iconic Happily Ever After fireworks extravaganza are TRON Lightcycle/ Run, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Adult Itinerary Animal Kingdom

What couples will find at Animal Kingdom is a majority of the fun that happens in between the rides. Adults should not leave without experiencing Avatar Flight of Passage within Pandora, Expedition Everest, The Kilimanjaro Safaris, and the Dinosaur ride.

The real adult fun in Animal Kingdom is found in the restaurants and entertainment. Festival of the Lion King is a larger-than-life 40-minute show filled with songs, pageantry, and puppetry celebrating the classic movie people love, The Lion King.

One of the best dining experiences at Disney World is found in Animal Kingdom. Tiffins is a table service restaurant inspired by exploration and adventure. It’s a culinary expedition of international cuisine unlike anywhere else at Disney World. The drink menu is one of the best at Disney, as the specialty cocktails are inspired by Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

For a unique experience at Animal Kingdom, couples can book the exclusive experience, Caring For Giants. Together, you can get a closer look at the majestic African elephants at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and learn what it takes to care for them.

Why Adults Shouldn’t Skip Disney Springs

Adults shouldn’t skip Disney Springs because they’ll miss out on some of the best food and entertainment. Formerly known as Downtown Disney, Disney Springs features more than 150 stores, restaurants, and entertainment locations.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes is spread out across two floors. It offers 10-Pin bowling, billiards, and lively bars. A popular attraction for couples at Disney Springs is the Vintage Amphicar Tours. The attraction is located at The Landing and allows visitors to venture off on a captain-guided tour of Lake Buena Vista aboard a fully restored retro dream boat.

For fine dining at Disney Springs, couples should make a reservation at Paddlefish. Paddlefish is an award-winning restaurant with an impressive international wine list and craft cocktails to pair with dinner. The seafood menu features a daily catch, seafood boils, king crab, scallops, and filet mignon.

Rooftop seating is available to see beautiful panoramic sunset views. Live entertainment is available on Friday and Saturday evenings.
