Dubai never ceases to surprise its visitors. Now, the most-visited city in the Middle East is offering yet another remarkable experience. Dubai is promoting 24/7 beaches, allowing people to enjoy the city’s warm climate and stunning coastline at any time of the day or night. With a range of activities and amenities, Dubai’s beaches provide a unique and unforgettable experience for tourists and locals alike.

As reported by the Khaleej Times, city officials announced the opening of three new beaches in Dubai for night swimming. Unlike regular beaches, where lifeguards typically signal the end of swimming time at sunset, these newly introduced nighttime swimming beaches in Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, and Jumeirah are open for water enthusiasts throughout the night. Each beach is equipped with well-lit systems to aid lifeguards in monitoring swimmers, while electronic screens help raise beachgoers’ awareness of potential dangers.

Keeping Swimmers Safe At Night

To ensure the safety of visitors, qualified lifeguards armed with cutting-edge rescue and emergency equipment patrol the beaches. However, it is important to note that nighttime beach swimming is prohibited between sunset and sunrise. The Dubai Municipality has designated specific areas for night swimming and urges beachgoers to adhere to these guidelines. They also stress the importance of parental supervision and emphasize that swimming at any other time is strictly prohibited.

Visitors have been asked to keep the beaches as clean as possible and to follow the instructions of the lifeguards.

“When tourists go around the city during the day, they miss out on being able to enjoy the beach, because after sunset swimming is not allowed. We wanted to give them an opportunity to enjoy this part of Dubai. That is why we are beginning the nighttime beach swimming facility,” Dawoud Al Hajri, director-general of Dubai Municipality, told Khaleej Times.

“The new facilities will further raise Dubai’s status as a beach tourism destination,” he added.

Dubai recently implemented various measures to boost its tourism industry, including easing travel restrictions and launching new attractions. The nighttime beach swimming facility is expected to attract more tourists and provide a unique experience for visitors.
