One European airline has launched a mystery flight opportunity for travelers interested in a little thrill. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) launched the initiative Destination Unknown in February. The offer allows members of the airline’s loyalty program, EuroBonus, to sign up for a flight experience but the destination remains unknown. SAS described it as a “unique journey” that offers mystery and intrigue to travelers.

Loyalty Pays Off

The EuroBonus program is a free loyalty club that offers members lounge access, free Wi-Fi, seat selection, and other perks. Access to benefits is based on membership level which also includes promotions on flights, rental cars, hotels and even shopping.

According to a SAS Airlines press release, more than 1,000 EuroBonus members signed up for the adventure. Passengers could only book reservations for the flight by using loyalty points. The only information they were given included the departure airport and the travel dates. The roundtrip flight will leave Copenhagen Airport in Denmark on April 5, returning on April 8 this year.

The airline also promises to “add additional excitement and adventure to the trip.” The lucky travelers can also expect SAS Airlines to “keep travelers on edge through the flight until the destination is revealed.”

Narrowing It Down

No other details were revealed regarding the upcoming flight. However, passengers might begin trying the process of elimination for the potential destination. SAS Airlines flies to at least 30 cities directly from Copenhagen but also services 122 destinations across 33 countries, including Albania, Germany, Finland, the United Kingdom, Thailand, the United States, Morocco, and Japan, among others.

Booking seats for the flight is unavailable now. Still, interested travelers can enter a drawing to win two seats on the mystery flight experience by playing a game on the airline’s website.
