Travelers aboard a Ryanair flight to Edinburgh from Budapest got the scare if their lives after four passengers collapsed mid-flight.

Shaun Pinkerton was one of the passengers was that fainted. He said that about an hour into the three-hour flight, a 17-year-old collapsed and had to receive CPR. Soon after, another passenger passed out before Pinkerton, who was third, in addition to one other after him.

“It was the flight from hell. Everyone was panicking and we still don’t really know what happened,” Pinkerton said. “It makes you not want to fly again.

Pinkerton told The Independent that the cabin crew got out “huge” tanks of oxygen and was performing CPR in the aisles of those who needed it.

”I was knocked out and needed an oxygen mask,” he said. “Then I went into shock and was totally shaking.“

Pinkerton is blaming the aircraft and said he and the other three passengers are owed compensation.

“There was something seriously wrong with that flight, folks were worrying there wasn’t enough oxygen. I don’t know why they didn’t divert the plane to land sooner.”

Officials from Edinburgh Airport confirmed that emergency first aid was made by the flight crew. A team of medical staff met the aircraft once it landed.

The airport denies that the aircraft was at fault for the fainting spells.

“The crew of this flight from Budapest to Edinburgh called ahead to request medical assistance on landing after two customers became ill on board,” a Ryanair spokesperson said in a statement. “The aircraft landed normally and these customers were met by medics for further treatment.”

As for Pinkerton, he said the incident has left him traumatized.

“I don’t want to step foot on a plane ever again. It was like something out of a movie.”
