Since Miami broke up with spring break this year, some people are thinking of other destinations to check out for a good time. Whether you’re in the mood for a relaxing vacation to rest and reset or a city that’s full of party opportunities, there are lots of places other than Miami that fit the bill. 

Here are five destinations in the United States to consider for your next girls’ trip:

Charleston, S.C. – For Beach Vibes

If you’re looking for a beachy place that’s relaxing and has great food, Charleston, S.C. might be the perfect option for your group. The city is rich in Black history, has several world-class restaurants, and is a short drive from Folly Beach.

Charleston has a wide range of vibes to tap into. There’s a beach, there’s lots of history, and several attractions in the area, like the Battery, an area just off the water, the city’s waterfront park, and Rainbow Row, a colorful row of two-story homes near the heart of the city.

For culture, book a tour with a tour company that focuses on Charleston’s Gullah-Geechee culture and learn about the rich Black history and contributions of Black people in the area.

Finally, head to Folly Beach for a day in the sun.

New Orleans, La. – For Partygoers

If the vibe of your girls’ trip is party, party, party; New Orleans, La.is the place to be. With equal party-culture-foodie options, New Orleans is a great destination for a girls’ trip. Guests can explore Bourbon Street, try authentic Creole cuisine, and try some of the city’s famous cocktails, or mocktails versions for those who don’t drink.

New Orleans has no shortage of hotels and boasts several timeless. A great area to choose for your stay is either the French Quarter or the Central Business District. The French Quarter is right in the middle of the action and some hotels with hotels just steps from Bourbon Street. The Central Business District, on the other hand, is closer to the heart of downtown. It’s far enough from the action that you’ll sleep well, but close to for a short walk back.

There are many things to do to pass the time in New Orleans. On a girls’ trip, exploring Bourbon Street’s bars and restaurants is a must-do. Other must-dos include checking out a riverboat tour for dinner and dining at one of the famous restaurants on Canal Street for brunch. Chicago, Ill. – For City-Lovers

Looking for a fun city to explore? Chicago, Ill. is a limitless option. From fun brunch options to great architecture, deep-dish pizza, and more, Chicago has a lot to offer. It’s also a beautiful city that’s known for its summer festivals and food scene.

For accommodations, just about anywhere on the Magnificent Mile is a safe bet. The area is common for tourists, has several hotels, and is within walking distance from lots of things to do and see in the area. Visitors can also take in downtown Chicago’s architecture from just about anyone on Magnificient Mile.

To start the trip, a quick visit to the city landmarks like the Bean, a public art structure downtown, seeing the water, and checking out the five-story Starbucks that has cocktails, is a good way to kick off the trip. Other notable things to do include checking out the city’s signature deep-dish pizza, Midwest-style barbecue, and shopping downtown.

Sedona, Ariz. – For a Rest & Reset

If the purpose of your girls’ trip is to rest, reset, and connect, Arizona should be on your radar. Sedona is well known for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It also boasts beautiful nature views, outdoorsy things to do, and more. 

For a group trip, Sedona offers plenty of vacation rentals fit for large groups. Airbnb has a host of several modern home rentals with multiple bedrooms, firepits, and beautiful views. Several of them have pools, views of the mountains, and even spa facilities. Dinner in the backyard around a fire pit is the perfect recipe for a relaxing evening.

Keeping the focus on relaxation, kick off the trip with a pool day, or explore the amenities at your accommodation. Then, spend a day doing popular activities in the area like a Jeep tour or hiking. Next, have a spa day with massages and facials at one of the many five-star spas in the area.
