Planning a trip to Disney World can be an overwhelming task. Besides getting everyone together and in agreement on travel dates, flights, packages, and accommodations, you also have to consider packing.

Packing for Disney World is different from trips to other destinations. For one, purchasing things at the theme park is extremely expensive. This is why it’s important to make a list, check it twice, and make sure that all essential items are included.

Whether you’re heading to Disney World on a family trip or an adults-only outing to the “Most Magical Place on Earth,” your trip will go smoothly if you pack these nine things.

Rain jacket

Stay ready, so you don’t have to get ready is the motto when heading to Disney World. At any moment, it can start pouring, so be sure to pack a rain jacket. The CeroPro Rain Coats are our favorite because they’re unisex, reusable, cost-friendly, and available in multiple colors!

Portable phone charger

When at Disney, you’re going to want to capture content. Constantly recording and taking pictures of your experience is a sure way for your phone’s battery to die. This is why you should never leave your hotel room without a portable phone charger (or two). With over 75,000 ratings and 4.5 stars on Amazon, the Anker Portable Charger, 313 Power Bank is our must-have.

Backpack

Carrying a bag all day when at Disney World gets annoying quickly. A backpack is great because it relieves your hands, is easier on your back and shoulders and can carry all your necessities. We love a backpack that’s water resistant, has a charging hole, and can be used for travel, work, or school, like this one from Light Flight.

Sunscreen

Melanated skin need can also get sunburn! Never leave the house without applying sunscreen. Black Girl Sunscreen was made just for us, by us, and will protect against the harsh Florida sun.

Hand wipes

Hand wipes are essential for travel, especially when at Disney World. They especially come in handy for wiping your hands after eating on the go, wiping down a surface, or if you want to clean your hands throughout the day. We always keep Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes on deck. They’re small enough to keep in your backpack and kill 99.99% of germs.

Reusable water bottle

Why spend unnecessarily on overpriced bottles of water at Disney? Pack your reusable water bottle and refill it at restaurants, vendors, and your hotel! Not to mention, it’s better for the environment. The Nomader Collapsible Water Bottle is our favorite because it has a leakproof twist cap, is portable, looks around your wrist, and is collapsible.

Waterproof phone pouch

If you’re getting on water rides like Splash Mountain or in the pool, a waterproof phone pouch should be on your list of things to pack. The pouch is designed for outdoor water activities, saunas, and water parks. The clear PVC appearance allows you to text and browse your phone while in the pouch.

Clip-on fan

Walking around Disney World can get hot fast. Having a clip-on fan is great for cooling yourself down while standing in line or when sitting for a break from the rides. The Nezylaf Handheld Fan Clip fits right over your phone for easy access.

Electrolytes

Disney World can feel like running a marathon at times. It’s important to stay hydrated while at the theme park. In addition to drinking plenty of water, replenishing your electrolytes throughout the day is key. Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier packets are perfect for travel. The individual packets are easy to add to your water bottle for ultimate hydration.
