If you weren’t already hip to one of the latest travel lingos/trends, then we are here to put you on game. Micro-cations are defined as a vacation that does not last longer than 5 nights. If you fall within the millennial age range, then it is likely the way you already travel.

According to the 2019 Vacation Confidence Index released by Allianz Global Assistance, millennials are leading the way in this trend and more than 57% of Americans traveled this way last year.

Factors for the rise in shorter trips range from smaller budgets, less time off from work, and just the overall need to travel often without a lot of time.

We found a few fun holidays thanks to the Hilton All Suites “Seize the Weekend” campaign, which was created to get more travelers traveling during these special days. They are the perfect excuse to plan your next micro-cation, so take advantage.
