The photo is captioned, “ONE OF OUR WILDEST KISSES 😘” and features a couple leaning out of a moving train on what appears to be a mountain. The man has his back to the ground below, and the woman’s leg is lifted on his torso.

It’s an iconic photo…and irresponsible. The photo appeared to be taken in Ella, Sri Lanka, a small town about five hours away from Colombo. It appeared to gain attention after Oscar winner Dave Vesico posted about it on Twitter.

“Is this Instagram’s most dangerous trend?” he wrote.

The couple, who documents their travels under the handle @backpackdiariez, aren’t the only ones to take part in the dangerous fad. Several photos and videos under the Ella, Sri Lanka, geotag feature travelers attempting a similar pose.

Sri Lanka has many delights for any adventurous traveller but the Ella to Kandy train ride is probably the most famous. This 7 hour journey takes you through beautiful tea plantations and through lush green valley's. This may sound like a long time but honestly you can just stare out of the window mesmerized at this wonderful country. You can even hang or sit out of the open doors to feel the breeze. • When the train arrives at each station the cabins are filled with sellers carrying all sorts of different food.
