Jet2 Passenger Boards Empty Flight To Greece
A Jet2 passenger recently boarded an almost completely empty flight for Skiathos Greece. The passenger was flying from Edinburgh and expressed his complete shock when he realized that the Jet2 flight was so empty.
The passenger told Birmingham Live that he genuinely believed it was “some kind of joke” at first. Apparently, once the short final call was completed, the passenger realized just how empty the flight was going to be. He noted that it was just himself and two other passengers.
With rising flight prices and general flight cancellations, this flight truly stands out as a one-off for the passenger.
It went viral:
The flier even shared a picture of his ghost flight on Twitter. In a statement with Birmingham Live, he confirmed that “it wasn’t until they did the final call I got up and went to the desk, and the service agent walked me to the airplane door and told me it’s only me and two other people.” Straight after the seatbelt sign went off the flier didn’t even have a long wait until he was served.
He added: “I travel regularly and have heard about this a couple of times before but this is the first time I’ve ever experienced a flight so empty myself. I got served pretty much after the seat belt sign went off after take off. The staff mentioned it could have been to do with holidays but I find it really bizarre though as the ticket was only £59.”
