The Northeast Alliance

JetBlue and American Airlines have teamed forces to give customers more destinations from the Northeast starting in Spring 2023. Flights will depart from LaGuardia Airport in New York, Newark Liberty Airport in New Jersey, and Boston Logan International Airport in Massachusetts. The NEA will also make 300 daily departures from New York’s JFK Airport and 200 from Boston.

In a press release from the NEA vice president Dave Fintzen, he mentions how competitors have had a hold on specific markets, “As we continue to enhance the Northeast Alliance and link more destinations with new nonstop choices, customers finally have a compelling alternative to the carriers that have dominated the market for too long.”

JetBlue’s latest nonstop flights will be from LaGuardia Airport to ATL Airport four times a day. And once a day from LaGuardia to the Bahamas. Also, for their seasonal summer flights, they plan to fly from LaGuardia to Bermuda once a day and to Hyannis, Massachusetts, once a day.

American Airlines will add six new New York destinations, with nonstop flights to Birmingham, Buffalo, Greenville and Columbia, Grand Rapids, and Knoxville.

American Airlines’ latest routes are already available on their website, and JetBlue’s flights will be available online in January.
