Delta Air Lines and LATAM Airlines are launching their first joint venture route in the Brazilian market. This flight will establish a direct connection between São Paulo and Los Angeles. The inaugural flight took off on Tuesday, marking an important development for both airlines.

LATAM’s addition of Los Angeles as its 22nd international destination from Brazil represents an effort to enhance travel options for passengers. This new route will provide LATAM Brazil with its fifth destination in the United States, joining Miami, Orlando, New York and Boston.

According to Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency, LATAM Airlines currently serves as the primary Brazilian airline connecting the country with the rest of the world. Danillo Barbizan, Delta Air Lines’ Sales Manager in Brazil, expressed satisfaction about the launch. Barbizan highlighted the popularity of the United States as a travel destination for Brazilian travelers.

“We are very excited to launch this route between São Paulo and Los Angeles in partnership with LATAM, he said. “This is the only direct flight to the West Coast from Brazil, which, in addition to being the fastest and most comfortable option for customers to explore this region of the United States, complements the numerous reciprocal benefits for frequent flyers, whether traveling for business or pleasure.”
