After airline passengers have spent nearly two years with Covid mandates and protocols, Southwest has taken a step forward in making us feel that the pandemic is officially over.

For two years Southwest Airlines and other airlines have dealt with the consequences of Covid policies and restrictions. Passengers had to wear masks at airports and on planes. Flight attendants were on the frontlines telling customers to put their masks on. Then the already angry passengers couldn’t order food or alcohol on most of the airlines.

Southwest is back with pre pandemic moves. Not only do they sell alcohol again on their flights but they’ve also modified their menus.

The update:

“After pausing our full menu of onboard beverage options in March 2020, Southwest Airlines will return to offering an expanded selection of beverages on Feb. 16,” the company shared in a press release. “On flights of 176 miles or more, Southwest will add tonic water, apple juice, Coke Zero, Dr. Pepper, hot tea, and hot cocoa. These beverage options join the current offerings of Coke, Diet Coke, 7 Up, water, ginger ale, seltzer water, orange juice, cranberry cocktail juice, and coffee.”

The airline also brought back the menu of alcoholic beverages it offered before the covid pandemic.
