When it comes to fun and convenience, the Lime Inn in the U.S. Virgin Islands has tapped into the winning recipe. It includes tacos, boats, and the aqua blue sea of the Caribbean. In what is possibly the first of its kind, the Lime Inn has taken ocean-front dining to the next level by developing a floating taco bar 200 feet off of Hansen Bay Beach in St. John called Lime Out. The restaurant is only accessible by water. In a bold move, the owners have set up one side of the bar as a “drive-thru” for boats and a sit-down water bar on the other side for those who want to bob above the Caribbean while they feast.

With an impressive selection of cocktails including a grapefruit margarita and a Coco Colada with pineapple rum, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut, this may be the best floating party in the Caribbean. You can also enjoy the Lime Out’s popular selection of tacos ranging from rum rib to shrimp and green curry chicken tacos.

It’s no surprise that Lime Out has gained over 4,000 likes and a 5-star review on Facebook in just 2 weeks since they opened. Fans are calling it “magical”, “delicious” and “a once in a lifetime experience”. We can only selfishly hope that other restaurants will take notice and move the trend forward to fulfill all of our floating dining dreams.
